We started life in 1977 as R Brewer & Co, based in Cornwall, refurbishing local hotels, social housing and smaller commercial properties. In 1989, as the business expanded in size and spread-out geographically, we became R Brewer Construction Ltd.
Roger Brewer, Managing Director, is as ‘hands on’ now as he was 33 years ago. With Roger’s experience in the industry, much of our success and continued good reputation throughout Devon and Cornwall is due to his proactive approach and open leadership style.

Working throughout Devon and Cornwall, we comprehensively improved social housing by bringing properties up to the Decent Homes Standard. Our activities included installing new kitchens, bathrooms, heating systems, external wall insulation and improving the communal areas. Whilst being employed as main contractors by social housing landlords, we maintained our interest in developing and investing and continue to do so. Extensive efforts towards energy efficiency has ensured that we focus on and promote External Wall Insulation as a first-rate system for hard to treat properties.
Roger encourages open communication with clients and suppliers, with the aim to conclude all contracts on time, on budget and with respect to the environment, neighbouring surroundings and Health and Safety.
In recent years the business has been trimmed allowing it the flexibility to respond to uncertain economic market conditions whilst giving it the edge to stay competitive and fluid.
R Brewer Construction Ltd remains one of Devon and Cornwall’s highly respected entrepreneurial construction business.
